Mr. Poehnelt is a Senior Consultant, Global Supply Chain & Logistics at ZCGC, where he oversees supply chain strategy across the organization’s diverse portfolio.

Prior to joining ZCGC, Mr. Poehnelt was the Chief Commercial Officer at Steam Logistics (“Steam”), a leading third-party logistics provider specializing in international freight forwarding, U.S. Customs brokerage, and U.S. domestic transportation solutions. At Steam, Mr. Poehnelt led the commercial strategy that drove the company’s rapid growth. Along with this commercial leadership role, Mr. Poehnelt served as the sales and operations owner for the drayage product, which under his leadership grew into the second-largest non-asset drayage provider in the United States.

Prior to Steam, Mr. Poehnelt was a Director at UPS Supply Chain Solutions (“UPS”), where he developed international supply chain strategies and multi-modal transportation solutions tailored to a broad range of industries and client needs.

Mr. Poehnelt earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management and Economics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He is also a Licensed U.S. Customs Broker (LCB).
